It needs to improve to make it easy for case mgrs. use, particularly, the ones that do outreach and allow at least 5 days to enter the notes. A case mgmt job is part phone calls in the office and entering notes, assessments, therapy, crisis interventions, facilitating groups (inside/outside the office, i.e., home visits, field trips/outings), ongoing trainings and testing,a lot of research for resources, rerferrals, etc. (Not enough hours in a day to do so many things, including all those meetings! The Epic training i received yesterday it's good for desktop users at the hospitals. As a case mgr. I can see how all the info entered in the database can be useful, i could enter notes and do assessments but the timing to complete the tasks is just not realistic and in fact creates more stress than we already have due to the nature of our jobs. With this system as is, it limits my freedom.
